Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30. It started running regularly from January 4. But, due to the ongoing track repair work, it was initially canceled from January 7 to January 15. Now on IRCTC app this train is being shown canceled till 22nd January. However, the CPRO of Northern Railway says that they currently have information about the cancellation of Vande Bharat only till January 15.

Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Vande Bharat Express: This train covers the distance of 629 kilometers between Ayodhya Cantt and Anand Vihar Terminal in 08:20 hours. This is the fastest train on this route. Ayodhya Express running on this route takes 10:55 hours to cover this distance while Kaifiyat Express takes 11:15 hours. This train runs six days a week. Its operation remains closed on Wednesdays. This train has been given stoppage at only two stations, Kanpur Central and Lucknow.

Time table

Train number 22426 departs from Anand Vihar to Ayodhya Cantt at 06:10 am. Reaches Kanpur Central at 11:00. This train departs from Kanpur Central at 11:05 and reaches Lucknow station at 12:25. Then it leaves from here at 12:30 and reaches Ayodhya Cantt at 2:30. Train number 22425 departs from Ayodhya Cantt to Anand Vihar Terminal at 3:20 pm. This train reaches Lucknow at 05:15 and Kanpur Central at 6:35 pm. After departing from here at 6:40 pm, it reaches Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:40 pm.

Fare

Anand Vihar Terminal-Ayodhya Cantt chair car fare from Anand Vihar to Ayodhya Cantt in Vande Bharat Express is Rs 1625. Whereas, the fare for executive chair car is Rs 2965. At the same time, the chair car fare from Kanpur Central to Ayodhya Cantt has been fixed by the Railways at Rs 835. Executive chaircar fare from Kanpur Central to Ayodhya Cantt is Rs 1440.

Chaircar fare from Ayodhya Cantt to Anand Vihar is Rs 1570. Whereas the fare for Executive Chaircar is Rs 2915. The chaircar fare from Ayodhya Cantt to Kanpur Central has been fixed by the Railways at Rs 680, while the fare for executive chaircar is Rs 1305.

Indian Railways informed that the rake of this train has been damaged due to the storm and due to this it will be repaired.

Train damaged due to storm

The station master told that the front glass and side windows of the driver’s cabin of this train were damaged due to the storm. He told that along with this the power of Dulkhapatna-Manjuri Road station was cut off. However, there is no news of any casualty in this. According to the East Coast Railway official, all the 250 passengers aboard this train are safe. He said that after the train is cleared till Mandvi Road, it will again go to its destination with its normal engine. According to the official, this train is expected to reach Howrah after 7.30 pm.

Many passengers stranded in this train complained about the lack of electricity in the coaches on social media. This is the 17th Vande Bharat train of the country and the first semi-high speed train of Odisha, which runs between Puri and West Bengal. On May 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this Vande Bharat Express by showing the green flag. This train runs 6 days a week. This train leaves Howrah at 6.10 am and reaches Puri at 12.35 pm. To return from there, this train leaves Puri at 1.50 pm and reaches Howrah at 8.30 pm.
