Vande Bharat Express: These days the news of Vande Bharat Express being damaged keeps coming from different places of the country.

This time this train was not damaged due to collision with any animal but due to the storm. Howrah-Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express (22895/22896) is canceled for today (May 22). Indian Railways informed that the rake of this train has been damaged due to the storm and due to this it will be repaired.

Train damaged due to storm

The station master told that the front glass and side windows of the driver’s cabin of this train were damaged due to the storm. He told that along with this the power of Dulkhapatna-Manjuri Road station was cut off. However, there is no news of any casualty in this. According to the East Coast Railway official, all the 250 passengers aboard this train are safe. He said that after the train is cleared till Mandvi Road, it will again go to its destination with its normal engine. According to the official, this train is expected to reach Howrah after 7.30 pm.

Many passengers stranded in this train complained about the lack of electricity in the coaches on social media. This is the 17th Vande Bharat train of the country and the first semi-high speed train of Odisha, which runs between Puri and West Bengal. On May 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this Vande Bharat Express by showing the green flag. This train runs 6 days a week. This train leaves Howrah at 6.10 am and reaches Puri at 12.35 pm. To return from there, this train leaves Puri at 1.50 pm and reaches Howrah at 8.30 pm.
