The Delhi government has decided to ban the operation of petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel vehicles older than 10 years from March 31, 2025. This step has been taken with the aim of controlling the rising pollution level in the city. Under these rules, the banned vehicles will be seized and scrapped.

Deadline for petrol vehicles is March 31

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Saturday announced that the Delhi government will stop providing petrol to vehicles older than 15 years at petrol pumps across the city after March 31. After a meeting with officials to discuss measures to tackle air pollution in the national capital, Sirsa said the government is taking stringent measures to curb vehicular emissions and pollution.

Smart gadgets will help identify old vehicles

The meeting focused on key policy decisions, including a ban on old vehicles, mandatory anti-smog measures and a shift to electric public transport. After the meeting, Sirsa said, “We are installing gadgets at petrol pumps that will identify vehicles older than 15 years and no fuel will be given to them.” He said the Delhi government will inform the Union Petroleum Ministry about the decision.

It has become mandatory to install anti-smog guns on tall buildings

Apart from restricting fuel supply to old vehicles, Sirsa announced that all high-rise buildings, hotels and commercial complexes in the capital will be required to install anti-smog guns to reduce air pollution levels. In addition, he said that about 90 per cent of public CNG buses in Delhi will be phased out by December 2025 and replaced with electric buses, as part of the government’s move towards clean and sustainable public transport. The announcements come as part of Delhi’s wider efforts to tackle air pollution, a major challenge for the city’s residents.

Vehicles have started plying till Dausa on the country’s longest Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Motorists are liking this expressway very much.

The maximum speed limit for cars on this expressway without breakers is 120 kilometers per hour. But, the entry of slow vehicles like motorcycles and scooters is restricted on this. If someone is caught on this expressway with a bike, then he will have to pay five thousand rupees as a challan.

Accidents are also happening due to overspeeding on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Recently, a car running at a very high speed overturned on the expressway. One person died and three people were seriously injured in the accident. E-challan system will soon be installed on the expressway to curb people’s reckless driving. With this, automatic challan will be deducted for vehicles violating the speed limit.

The maximum speed on the Delhi

-Mumbai Expressway is 120 km per hour. But, on this expressway, you cannot stop the vehicle unnecessarily. The challan will be deducted if the vehicle is suddenly stopped. There is permission to stop the vehicle only in the rest area. Rest areas have been made at some distance. You can stop the vehicle without rest area on the expressway only if there is a technical fault.

Various arrangements have been made to prevent accidents on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. There is no breaker anywhere on this entire highway from Delhi to Vadodara. The highway has been made very high. Barricading has been done on both sides of the highway so that stray animals do not come on the road. On this road made of German technology, there is no jerk even when driving at a speed of 120 km. Along with this, slow moving vehicles like auto rickshaw, bike, tractor-trolley, horse and bullock cart will not be able to run.

Delhi-Mumbai travel time will be halved

After the completion of this longest expressway of the country, it will be possible to reach between Delhi and Mumbai by car in 12 hours. Now it takes 24 hours to cover this journey. With the construction of this expressway, it will take less time to travel to many other major cities of the country.

The post Expressway Traffic Rules: Do not drive bike on this expressway even by mistake, challan of Rs 5,000 will be deducted first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Ban On Diesel 4-Wheelers Likely: Diesel powered cars SUVs may be banned in the coming days. The Energy Transition Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Petroleum, in its final report, has recommended to the Central Government to ban diesel-powered cars-SUVs by 2027 in cities with a population of more than one million (1 million).

The report stresses on registration of only electric vehicles from 2024, so that in the next 10 years, 75 percent of the vehicles in cities with a population of more than one million are electric.

The committee has also recommended doubling the share of grid power in the national energy basket to 40 per cent by 2035. The committee has asked to constitute a group of ministers consisting of the ministries related to petroleum, coal, power and renewable energy. Along with this, it was also asked to form a committee of secretaries, in which members of the ministries monitoring energy consumption should also be included.

The Energy Transition Advisory Committee was formed under the chairmanship of former Petroleum Secretary Tarun Kapoor, in which officials from government oil companies and the Ministry of Petroleum were included. When Tarun Kapoor became advisor to the Prime Minister, former ONGC chairman Subhash Kumar was made the chairman of the committee. And under his chairmanship, the committee has prepared the report and submitted it to the Ministry of Petroleum.

In the report, emphasis has been given on electric vehicles for road transport, as well as banning diesel-powered four-wheelers as soon as possible. The committee has recommended a ban on diesel powered four wheelers till 2027 i.e. for the next five years in cities with a population of more than 10 lakhs and cities with high pollution. It has been said in the report that diesel-run buses should not be included in urban areas at all.

As the roads of the country are changing, you will also get toll tax on few kilometers. The toll fare has now increased significantly everywhere. Explain that you are charged money for using the expressway or highway.

Since whatever cost is incurred in the construction of the expressway, it is reimbursed. However, now the people of Madhya Pradesh and those going there are going to have fun. Please note that now there will be no toll for private vehicles. Only commercial vehicles will pay toll.

MPRDC (Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Limited) DM MH Rizvi said that earlier it was decided to collect toll from all four wheelers. But on the orders of the government, now toll tax will be collected from commercial vehicles only.

In the cabinet meeting last month, it was decided to give relief in toll tax to private vehicles including cars, jeeps and passenger buses on this route. After which the tender process is being completed afresh. It is being told that after the completion of the tender process by next month, all the three toll blocks built on the said route will start. It is noteworthy that MPRDC has got the asphalt work done on the said road three months back. To recover its amount, it has been decided to levy toll.

They will not have to pay toll tax

At the same time, let us tell you that some categories have also been created by the government. Those involved are not required to pay toll tax. Due to the success of this formula in European countries, preparations are being made to implement it in India as well. Presently pilot project is going on.

new Delhi. Drivers who are facing the brunt of the increase in toll tax from April 1, have increased the hope of getting rid of expensive tolls soon. The government is preparing to bring a new system of toll collection by abolishing the FASTag system. Under this, you have to pay the same toll for the number of kilometers your car will run on the National Highway and Expressway.

In European countries like Germany and Russia, toll is being collected through this system. Due to the success of this system in these countries, preparations are being made to implement it in India as well.

Satellite navigation system will be installed in vehicles

At present, the entire amount of the distance from one toll to another toll is collected from the vehicles. Even if you are not going there and your journey is being completed somewhere in the middle, but the toll has to be paid in full. Now the central government is going to collect toll tax from satellite navigation system. Its pilot project is going on. In this system, the toll has to be paid according to the number of kilometers the vehicle travels on the highway.

Toll collection will be like this

Almost all vehicles (98.8 percent) in Germany have satellite navigation systems installed. The tax calculation starts as soon as the vehicle enters the tolled road. As soon as the vehicle moves from the highway to the road without toll, the toll of that kilometer is deducted from the account. The system for deducting toll is the same as that of FASTag. At present, toll is being charged from FASTag on 97 percent of vehicles in India.

Before implementing the new system, it is necessary to change the transport policy as well. Experts are preparing the necessary points for this. 1.37 lakh vehicles have been covered across the country in the pilot project. A study report is being prepared by experts from Russia and South Korea. This report may be released in the next few weeks.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has implemented a new rule related to recognized Driver Training Centers. With the implementation of this order, it has been made mandatory for two wheeler drivers to give driving test for getting license. In the past, there was a rule to make a license without giving a practical test. It has been amended.

Accredited Driver Training Centers are being opened across the country as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. In this, the trainee will be taught to drive the vehicle from the simulator. After taking the training, the center will give a certificate to the trainee. On the basis of this certificate, a license can be made in the RTO office. That is, the person taking training from here will not need to give the test in the RTO office.

This change in the rule

Earlier, there was no need to give the test after taking training from simulator for two wheeler and four wheeler or all other types of vehicles. But according to the new rule issued by the Ministry of Road Transport, it has been made mandatory to test driving a vehicle for the license of two wheelers. That is, the test will have to be given in practical and theoretical form. Only after passing this test will the driving license of two wheelers be made.

Expert said, so the rule was changed

Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (CMVR) chairman Gurmeet Singh Taneja said that there is no need to balance in four wheelers or bigger vehicles, but balance has to be made in two wheelers. The trainee can drive the vehicle from the simulator, but training to make balance is not done, so training with two wheelers in the field has been made mandatory.

The post Training Center Rule Change: Road Transport Ministry has changed the rules for training center, test will have to be given to get license of two wheelers first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
