Indian Railways has made some amendments in the timetable of the country’s fourth Vande Bharat Express train running between New Delhi and Amb Andaura.

Train No. 22447/22448 New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week in both directions except Tuesday. According to the news of Financial Express, at present this train runs on all days of the week except Friday. This new timetable will be effective from March 21, 2024.

Distance and travel time

New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express covers the distance of 412 kilometers in 5 hours 15 mins. It is the fastest train on the route after Daulatpur Chowk Janshatabdi Express and Himachal Express. Both trains cover the same distance at 07:11 and 08:15 respectively.

How many coaches are there and where are the stoppages?

The New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is a train set of 16 coaches. This includes executive class and chair car coaches. This train stops at 4 stations during its journey between the two cities. These are- Ambala Cantt Junction, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib and Una Himachal Railway Station.

The introduction of New Delhi-Amba Andora-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express has boosted tourism in the region and made the journey a comfortable and time-saving one. The train weighs 392 tonnes and is capable of achieving high speed in a short time. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 52 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour.
