According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bank holiday calendar, banks will remain closed for three days between June 23 and June 29, 2025. If you have to visit a bank branch for tasks like depositing a cheque, drawing a draft or opening an account, it would be better to complete your work before June 27, as banks across the country will remain closed on June 28 and 29 and some states also have a holiday on June 27. However, online services will be available 24 hours a day.

June 28 (Saturday) – Banks across the country will remain closed on the fourth Saturday.

June 29 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday.

June 27 (Friday) – Banks will remain closed in Odisha and Manipur on the occasion of Rath Yatra/Kang.

In other states, banks will remain open on June 27. This means that if you live in Odisha or Manipur, banks will remain closed for three consecutive days from Friday to Sunday.

Will banks remain open on the remaining days?

Yes, most bank branches across the country will remain open this week from June 23 to 26 and June 30. So try to complete your essential tasks during these days.

What are the hours of bank branches?

Government banks (like SBI, PNB, Bank of India): 10 am to 4 pm.

Private banks (like HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak Mahindra): 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM.

Bank of Baroda: Usually from 9:45 am to 4:45 pm.

Canara Bank: 10 am to 3:30 pm.

(Times may vary slightly in some branches).

Despite the bank closure, your services like net banking, mobile banking, ATM, UPI, IMPS, NEFT will continue as usual. You can easily perform tasks like money transactions, balance check, chequebook request, bill payment.
