Bank Holidays : If you have any important work related to the bank, then finish it quickly, because banks will remain closed for three consecutive days in many places from 29 April to 1 May 2025.
However, holidays may vary in each state, as these holidays are decided under the Negotiable Instruments Act of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Banks are going to remain closed on these three days due to Parshuram Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya and Maharashtra Day.
Bank holiday on 29 april
There will be a bank holiday on 29 April on the occasion of Lord Shri Parshuram Jayanti. Banks will remain closed in Shimla on this day, while banks will remain open as usual in the rest of the state.
Bank holiday on 30 april
Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on 30th April. Banks will remain closed in Bangalore on this day. Buying gold on Akshaya Tritiya is considered auspicious, so jewellery shops may be crowded on this day.
Banks will remain closed on May 1
Labor Day is celebrated every year on May 1. May 1 is also Maharashtra Day. On this day all banks and stock markets in Maharashtra will remain closed. On this day banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.
The stock market is also closed on May 1
BSE and NSE located in Mumbai will also remain closed on May 1 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. There will be no trading in the stock market on this day. Holidays are different in every state. Therefore, before going to the bank, definitely check the bank holiday schedule of your state so that any problem can be avoided.
