Apart from this, for those who travel less, there will also be an option to pay Rs 50 per 100 km. This system will provide relief from traffic jams at toll plazas and will also save fuel.

According to reports, under the new policy, vehicle owners will be able to travel as much as they want on national highways, expressways and state highways throughout the year by paying Rs 3,000 annually. This pass will be digitally linked to the FASTag account, due to which people will not have to pay toll repeatedly.
For this, people will get two payment options, one is an annual pass and the other is a distance-based fee. Distance-based charging will be beneficial for people who travel less. So they will have to pay Rs 50 per 100 km. Anyone can avail the new scheme by using their existing FASTag account for the new FASTag system.
After the arrival of the new FASTag system, people will not have to face traffic jams at toll plazas and people will also save fuel. With the help of this new system, toll revenue will be recovered and fraud will be reduced. Along with this, more powers will be given to banks to prevent toll fraud.
