Orange alert means that the weather is now moving towards dangerous levels. It is a warning one step ahead of the yellow alert. In this situation:

- People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel
- Local disaster management units have been asked to remain alert
Yellow alert for Delhi, possibility of thunderstorm and rain
A yellow alert has been issued for today in the country’s capital Delhi. There is a possibility of cloudy weather with light to moderate rain, lightning, and thunder. The series of thunderstorms and rain may continue in Delhi for the next four days. At present, there is no specific alert for the coming days.

Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in many other states in the next 24 hours. People have been advised to remain alert in these states too:
- Uttar Pradesh
- Uttarakhand
- Himachal Pradesh
- Rajasthan and Eastern Rajasthan
- Gujarat Region
- Konkan and Goa
- Central Maharashtra
There is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in these areas too.
