IMD issued warning! It will rain for two days from today, know the latest weather condition

IMD Rainfall Alert: Even though the heat is setting new records in many states including the national capital Delhi, there are still some states where the rainy season continues.

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning in the eastern states for the next three days. On the other hand, heat wave warnings were withdrawn at isolated places in Kutch and Konkan regions of Gujarat as sea breeze brought down the temperature in these areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, between February 21 and 23, light to moderate rains may occur over the northeastern states. Apart from this, an alert for heavy rain has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh on 21 and 22 February. However, there is no sign of any major change in the weather of other parts of the country for the next four to five days.

Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature between 36-38 degree Celsius was recorded in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Konkan region. The maximum temperature was above average in both the states and in the western Himalayan region.

Apart from this, the minimum temperature was above normal in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan. Whereas, light rains were recorded over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

What will be the temperature for the next 24 hours?

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Gujarat during the next 24 hours can be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, a drop of two to three degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature can be recorded in the states of western India for the next three days. After that there will be no major change. At the same time, there is not going to be a major change in the weather in the rest of the country for the next five days.

Heat wave alert withdrawn

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday withdrew heat wave alert at isolated places in Kutch and Konkan regions as sea breeze brought down the temperature in these areas. The Meteorological Department had said on Sunday that there is a possibility of heat wave in Kutch and Konkan for the next two days. Officials had said that the heat wave alert in these areas has been issued much ahead of time. IMD senior scientist Naresh Kumar said, “The sky is clear in these areas due to the lack of strong western disturbance. A weak Western Disturbance has affected only the Western Himalayan region, mainly Jammu and Kashmir.
