IMD issues red warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya, know the weather condition

Rainfall Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya today. According to IMD, Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to experience heavy to very rainfall for the day.

The Met Department has predicted heavy rainfall over Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa and Lakshadweep until tomorrow. Similar conditions are expected over isolated pockets of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Puducherry, Karaikal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are likely to prevail over parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh today. Meanwhile, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are expected to prevail over Vidarbha for the next three days. Further, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Telangana are likely to experience heat wave conditions till tomorrow.
