These trains will be run from Pune city to many other cities of the country.
Indian Railways has informed that these trains will be run from Pune city on Shegaon, Pune-Vadodara, Pune-Secunderabad and Pune-Belgaum routes. Currently, 2 Vande Bharat trains are running from Pune city. These trains are being run on Pune-Kolhapur and Pune-Hubli routes. After the city gets 4 more Vande Bharat trains, the total number of Vande Bharat trains will become 6. In this way, Pune city has got the maximum number of Vande Bharat trains after Patna and Mumbai.
Which route will the train take?
- The Pune-Shegaon Vande Bharat train will have stoppages at Daund, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna city.
- Pune-Vadodara Vande Bharat train will have stoppages at Lonavala, Pavel, Vapi and Surat.
- Currently, it takes 9 hours to travel from Pune to Vadodara. After the Vande Bharat train starts running, this distance will be reduced to 6 to 7 hours.
- The Pune-Secunderabad Vande Bharat train connects two major IT hub cities. Its stops will be at Daund, Solapur and Gulbarga.
- The route of Pune-Belgaum Vande Bharat train will be through Satara, Sangli and Miraj.
How much will be the fare?
According to the report released by the railways, the fare of the new Vande Bharat train running from Pune will be between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000. The fare will be based on the route and class of each train. All the facilities of Vande Bharat will be available in these trains as well. It has economic seats, automatic doors, WiFi facility, modern restrooms and advanced safety features. These trains will start running with all these facilities and Pune city will be connected with 4 more cities.
A sleeper train will also run.
There are also plans to run a sleeper train among the 4 new Vande Bharat trains running from Pune city. This sleeper train will run between Pune and Nagpur. Its fare will be higher than the normal sleeper train. However, the railway has not yet released the official timetable and other details of the train. It is believed that soon the railway will release the complete schedule and fare list of these Vande Bharat trains.
