NHAI’s new initiative will be useful
For your information, let us tell you that the Highway Travel App was launched in the year 2023. It gives information related to the highway in real time such as road conditions, available facilities and emergency services. Now a new toll indicator feature is being added to this app. Through this, passengers will be able to see the toll price on multiple routes and select the lowest cost route. For example, if you are traveling from Kanpur to Delhi and there are three routes for this, then the app will allow passengers to compare which route will cost less toll. The aim of this feature is to make road travel budget-friendly and increase transparency about toll.
The officer gave information
According to the report of cnbctv18, a senior NHAI official has given information about this feature. He said that the Rajmarg Yatra app will compare three routes. For example, to go from Delhi to Lucknow, there is Yamuna Expressway, Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur route. You will be able to see that out of these, the app will tell you on which route you will have to pay the lowest toll tax.
Annual FASTag was announced recently
NHAI is bringing many facilities for the convenience of the people. Recently, NHAI announced the launch of an annual FASTag pass worth Rs 3,000. This pass allows users to make 200 toll-free trips at any national highway toll plaza approved by NHAI. However, it will not be valid for toll plazas managed by state governments.
