According to a report by CNBC Awaaz, from November 2025, the need to go to the Aadhaar center for Aadhaar card update will end. This change will be very convenient for the users, as now they will be able to update their Aadhaar card details from home.

Now Aadhaar will be updated from home through OTP

In this new process, update will be possible through OTP, and verification will be done through documents like birth certificate, driving license, passport. Let us tell you about this new system in detail.

Let us tell you that now if a person wants to update his Aadhaar card, he has to go to the Aadhaar center. Whether it is a change in name, address, date of birth or mobile number, a physical visit is required for every update.

The new rule will be implemented from November 2025

But from November 2025, this process will become completely digital. Users will only need an OTP (one-time password), through which they will be able to update their Aadhaar card details from home. This change will be especially beneficial for those who are unable to visit the Aadhaar center due to busy schedule.

E-Aadhaar app may be launched soon

According to a report by Hindi Money Control, UIDAI is also preparing to launch a new mobile app soon, which can be called E-Aadhaar. Through this app, users will be able to update the information present in their Aadhaar card such as name, address, date of birth and mobile number from home. This will save people from having to visit Aadhaar centers to update Aadhaar.

In some cases, such as changes in biometric or iris scan, one will still have to go to the Aadhaar center. But for general updates, such as address or mobile number, this new system will be very helpful. This change will save both time and effort of the users.
