All pensioners have to submit their life certificate every year in November to pension disbursing authorities like banks and post offices to get the benefit of monthly pension regularly.

If pensioners wish, they can submit their life certificate by visiting the bank and post office personally or online. Apart from this there are 5 other ways pensioners can submit their Annual Life Certificate manually or digitally:

Through the portal, pensioners can submit their life certificate online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal/app. For this, pensioners will have to provide their fingerprints using UIDAI-mandated devices.

To generate the certificate, the pensioners will first have to register on the Jeevan Pramaan portal. For this, they have to download and open the Jeevan Pramaan app. After that select the option of New Registration, enter Aadhar Number, Bank Account Number, Name, Mobile Number and Pension Payment Order (PPO).

The Face App allows government pensioners to submit digital life certificates using a face-recognition technology system based on the Aadhaar database. For this, go to Google Play Store and download the Aadhaar Face ID app. If you want, you can also download Face App from jeevanpramaan.gov.in. After installing the application submit the latest photo and then get the digital life certificate.

    Doorstep Banking

Life Certificate can also be submitted through Doorstep Banking Alliance. A nominal fee has to be paid for this service. After this, the concerned officer will go to the pensioner’s house and complete this process. Many other banks including 12 public sector banks provide “Doorstep Banking” facility to their customers in 100 major cities across the country.

Department of Posts and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) have started doorstep service for submission of digital life certificate through postman. To avail this service, the pensioner will have to download the Postinfo app from Google Play Store.
