New Delhi- Bank FD is a popular investment option in India. Because, with stable returns, the investment is completely safe. Generally, crores of people of the country prefer to make FD in government bank (Bank FD Interest Rate) or post office (Post Office Time Deposit).

Fixed deposit is called time deposit in post office. But, do you know how much interest is given in post office time deposit and SBI FD and where is the interest higher.

Since people across the country like to invest money in State Bank of India and Post Office schemes and FDs, it is important for you to know which of these two gives higher interest on FD and in how many years the money doubles.

What is the interest rate on SBI FD?

India’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India, offers interest on FDs based on the deposit tenure. SBI offers interest in the range of 6.25% to 6.30% for FDs with tenures of 1 to 5 years.

– The interest rate on FDs with tenors of one year and less than 2 years is 6.25%.

– The interest rate on FDs with tenors of two years and less than three years is 6.45%.

– The interest rate on FDs with tenures of three years and less than 5 years is 6.30%.

Interest rates in Post Office Time Deposits

The interest rate in Post Office Time Deposits is higher than SBI.

– The interest rate on post office time deposit for one year is 6.9%.

– The interest rate on Post Office Time Deposit for 2 years is 7.0%.

– The interest rate on Post Office Time Deposit for 3 years is 7.1%.

– The interest rate on Post Office Time Deposit for 5 years is 7.5%.

Where money doubles quickly

If the interest on SBI FD and Post Office Time Deposit is calculated as per Rule 72, then money doubles quickly in Post Office Time Deposit. Because, Post Office gives 7.50% interest on a period of 5 years, so the money doubles in 9.5 years.

Fixed Deposit Rates: Fixed Deposit (FD) is a famous investment option in India. It gives safe and reliable returns to investors. Fixed deposits are popular among individuals who want to earn fixed interest without risking their financial resources. Depositing funds for a fixed period in FD earns a fixed interest rate, which is higher than savings accounts.

FD revised its interest rates

Due to the recent change in economic conditions, various banks have revised their FD interest rates in the month of November. This change will bring a new challenge for investors. Many private and government banks are trying to keep their FD rates competitive so that they can attract more and more investors.

Which bank gives the highest return?

In case of one-year deposits, Bandhan Bank and IndusInd Bank lead with rates of 8% and 7.75%, respectively. For three-year deposits, DCB Bank and RBL Bank offer the highest rates among private sector banks, while most other banks offer a base rate of around 7% for the same period.

Good news for FD customers! Banks have started increasing fixed deposit rates or new FD schemes to attract customers. Due to increasing investment in mutual funds and decline in bank deposits, FD rates of banks and NBFCs remain at a high level. Let us tell you that RBL Bank, Federal Bank and IDBI Bank have launched special FD schemes for both general customers and senior citizens. Let us know how much interest is being given in the special FD of these banks.

Senior citizens (above 60 years of age but below 80 years of age) will get 8.6% and super senior citizens (above 80 years of age) will get 8.85% rate on FD. Customers can book fixed deposit schemes both online and offline using the RBL Bank app or by visiting a bank branch.

Federal Bank FD

Federal Bank has also announced a special scheme on Independence Day, under which customers are being offered fixed deposit rates up to 8.05%. The bank has announced new rates for deposits with tenures of 400 days, 777 days and 50 months. Normal citizens will be offered FD rates of 7.35%, 7.40% and 7.40% respectively.

There is a danger of recession in the world. Economic activities have slowed down in Germany and this country has declared itself to be in the grip of recession. At the same time, America, the world’s most powerful economy, is also facing problems these days.

On the other hand, the condition of China’s economy may not be so bad but the condition is not very good either. The world has high hopes from the Indian economy. But if the situation in the world worsens or becomes uncontrollable, then it is bound to affect Indians as well. In such a situation, people who want a safe return on their investment are turning to the bank. Let’s talk about the returns the three big government banks of the country are giving on deposits.

At what time, how much interest is being given in SBI Bank

FD Interest Rate: Now Bandhan Bank has increased the interest rates on its fixed deposits. Know how much this bank has increased.

Bandhan Bank FD Rates 2023: If you want to earn good interest by investing your hard earned money at the right place, then you can invest in the Bank FD Scheme. Private sector Bandhan Bank has increased its fixed deposit ie FD interest rates (FD Rate Hike) by 0.50 percent. Know how much the bank has increased.

Senior citizens will get 8.5 percent interest

Bandhan Bank said on Monday that now senior citizens will get the benefit of 8.5 per cent interest and common customers will get 8 per cent interest on making fixed deposits in the bank. After increasing the interest, now senior citizens will get interest at the rate of 8.5 per cent and other citizens at the rate of 8 per cent per annum on bank fixed deposits (FD) of 600 days duration. Similarly, the interest rate on fixed deposits with a tenure of 1 year has been increased to 7 percent. This means that now senior citizens will be able to get the benefit of 0.5 percent additional interest in Bandhan Bank. The bank has implemented these new rates from today.

RBI had increased the repo rate

A meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee is organized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to decide the repo rate. Last year on 2022, RBI had increased the repo rate. The result of this is that banks had increased the rates of fixed deposits. After this, the interest rates of home loans and personal loans were also increased in banks.

These banks also increased interest

Earlier, IDFC FIRST Bank had increased the interest rates of fixed deposits. In this bank, senior citizens are getting 8% interest on fixed deposits with a tenure of 18 months to 3 years. The same Jana Small Finance Bank had also announced to increase the interest rates on its FDs. Jana Bank is now paying up to 8.10 percent interest on FDs with a tenure of more than 2 years. At the same time, senior citizens are getting 8.80 percent interest in this FD.
