SBI Fixed Deposit: Today we will tell you about such an FD of the country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India i.e. SBI, in which you will get the highest interest rate return. Let’s know.

Banks are quite popular among people for investing money. Whenever it comes to investing, most people invest their money in bank FDs. The biggest reason for this is that the money invested in FDs is safe. The returns received are also good and already fixed.

This is the reason why most people prefer to invest their money in FDs. FDs are offered to their customers by different banks of the country. The interest rates of these FDs are different. The interest rates of FDs also vary according to the period.

If you also use bank FD to invest your money , then you should invest your money in the FD of a bank that offers you the highest interest rate of return. Today we will tell you about such an FD of the country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India i.e. SBI , in which you will get the highest interest rate of return. Let’s know.

SBI FD

SBI offers many types of FDs to its customers with different tenures but it is best to invest in SBI’s FDs with tenures ranging from 2 years to 3 years. The reason for this is the interest received on this FD. In SBI’s FDs with tenures ranging from 2 years to 3 years, general citizens are getting a return of 6.90 percent and senior citizens are getting a return of 7.40 percent.

This way you will get profit of up to Rs 30,000

If you invest Rs 200000 in SBI’s FD with a tenure of 2 years to 3 years, then you will get a total of Rs 2,29,325 on maturity. On the other hand, senior citizens will get a total of Rs 2,31,589 on maturity.

New Delhi. The rules of private sector Punjab National Bank (PNB) have changed in June. The bank had issued a circular in May informing that the accounts which are not active for three years will be closed from June 1.

Apart from this, the bank had also said that even if there is no balance in the account then the account will become inactive.

This means that if you have not done any transaction of any kind in your PNB bank account for the last three years, then your account would have been closed from June 1, 2024. Apart from this, if there is no money in your account for a long time i.e. the account balance is zero, then also the account would have become inactive.

The accounts of these account holders will remain active

According to the notice of PNB, the bank has given concessions to some special account holders. If an account holder has a locker or a Demat Account in PNB, then his account will not be closed. That is, even if the account holder has not done any transaction for three years, his account will remain active.

At the same time, the accounts of those account holders who opened accounts to take advantage of the government scheme will also not be deactivated. Apart from this, the accounts of customers below 25 years of age will also remain active.

Also Read: Dust storm alert! IMD issued yellow alert regarding stormy weather and rain, check immediately

If the bank account of any account holder is frozen on the orders of the court, income tax department or any other legal institution, then in such case the bank account will not be closed.

Why did the bank take this decision

According to the bank, many people used to misuse such inactive accounts. In such a situation, keeping in mind the security of the account, the bank has taken this decision.

The bank said that after this decision, inactive accounts cannot be used for illegal activities like fraud or money laundering.

how to activate inactive account

If your PNB account becomes inactive, then to activate it again you will have to go to the nearest branch of the bank. Here you will have to submit the KYC documents required to activate the bank account.

RBI penalty on Canara Bank: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a penalty of Rs 2.92 crore on Canara Bank for violating different rules. RBI said that this action was taken in relation to linking interest rates to external benchmarks like Repo Rate and opening of savings accounts of ineligible entities.

The central bank said in a statement that a statutory inspection was carried out on the basis of the bank’s details as on March 31, 2021. The central bank had conducted an investigation in July 2020 after receiving a complaint of major fraud from another bank.

After investigation, it was found that the bank could not link the interest on ‘floating rate’ based retail loans and loans given to MSMEs to the external benchmark. Also, during the financial year 2020-21, it could not even link the interest on the floating rate based rupee loan with its Marginal Cost of Lending Rate (MCLR).

The RBI said the bank opened several savings deposit accounts in the name of ineligible entities, entered fake mobile numbers in several credit card accounts and deposited deposits under the Daily Deposit Scheme and 24 months after account opening. Interest was not paid on premature withdrawal of Rs.

The Reserve Bank said that the bank charged the SMS service from the customers, which was not based on its actual usage. The bank also failed to do customer due diligence on transaction basis.

RBI said, after sending a notice to the bank, it was asked to show cause why the penalty should not be imposed on it. After this, RBI has taken this action after considering the written and oral reply of the bank.

Many banks across the country are being privatized by the Modi government. The government is going to make another government bank private this year. Work is going on fast on this.

If you also have an account in a government bank, then you should know before that which bank is going to be privatised. Giving information today, Deepam Secretary has told that the process of privatization of IDBI Bank is progressing rapidly.

Rejected media reports

The Central Government said on Friday that the process of disinvestment of IDBI Bank is going on as per the prescribed strategic sale process. He also dismissed the media reports that it was being said that the disinvestment of IDBI could be postponed.

Deepam secretary tweeted

The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) said that the stake sale in the bank has moved beyond the expression of interest (EoI) stage. Deepam Secretary Tuhin Kant Pandey has tweeted that after receiving various EOIs, the transaction is now progressing as per the prescribed procedure.

LIC has 61 percent stake

The government had received several initial rounds of bids in January for the strategic sale of about 61 per cent stake held by it and LIC in IDBI Bank.

What is the share of the government?

Bids were invited from potential buyers in October last for the sale of a total of 60.72 per cent stake, including 30.48 per cent government and LIC’s 30.24 per cent stake in IDBI Bank. At present, both the government and LIC together hold 94.72 per cent stake in this bank.

Bank New Rule: Bank of Baroda Interest Rate: The effect of increasing the repo rate by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the last days has started showing once again. Bank of Baroda (BoB), the largest public sector bank, has announced a 0.20 per cent hike in the marginal cost of funds (MCLR) based lending rate for various tenor loans. The new rates will be applicable from August 12. The stock market was also informed about this on 10 August (Wednesday) by the bank.

The new rates will be effective from August 12. In the information sent to the stock market, it was said on behalf of the bank that it has approved the increase in MCLR rate. This will be effective from August 12. The benchmark MCLR for one-year tenor has been increased from 7.65 per cent to 7.70 per cent. The interest rates of most consumer loans are fixed on this basis. Apart from this, the MCLR has been increased by 0.20 percent to 7.40 percent for the loan of one month.

These banks also increased the interest rates , in addition to this, it has been decided to increase the MCLR by 0.10 percent for loans of 3 months and six months to 7.45 and 7.55 percent respectively. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) last week increased the key policy rate repo by 0.50 percent. After this many banks have increased their interest rates. Earlier, ICICI Bank, Canara Bank and PNB (Punjab National Bank) have also decided to increase the interest rate.

The decision taken by Bank of Baroda to increase the repo rate three times will affect about 20 million customers associated with the bank. Let us tell you that in the last two months, the repo rate has been increased thrice by the RBI. First the central bank has increased it by 40 basis points, then by 50 basis points and once again by 50 basis points. Due to this the interest rates of the loan are getting expensive.

The post Bank New Rule Change: The new rule of this government bank will be implemented from tomorrow, know all details Quickly first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
