LPG Price Today: Domestic LPG cylinder prices remained stable amid rising petrol and diesel prices due to the US-Iran war. However, on June 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder was increased by ₹42. Meanwhile, the price of a 5-kg free trade LPG cylinder in Delhi has now risen by ₹11 to ₹821.5.

Additionally, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has remained at ₹913 since the beginning of March, when the price was increased by ₹60.

Supply rates also increased

In recent months, the supply rate for a 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has increased, reaching nearly ₹1,200 per cylinder. However, ordinary consumers are still getting this cylinder for ₹913. This increase is primarily due to a sharp jump in the Saudi contract price for propane.

Let us tell you that India imports a large part of its LPG needs and Saudi Aramco’s contract price in the international market is considered the main standard for determining the price of LPG.

According to government sources, despite rising global prices, domestic LPG cylinder prices in India are still lower than those in many neighboring countries in the region. Both subsidized and non-subsidized domestic gas cylinders remain relatively affordable compared to other countries, despite some differences in cylinder size.

New Delhi. Oil companies have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. The price of 19 kg LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 6. At the same time, no change has been made in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders. According to the new rate released by Indian Oil, this cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 1803. Its price was Rs 1797 in February, while in January it was Rs 1804. On February 1, 2025, oil marketing companies had reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 7.

It is worth noting that on the 1st of every month, oil companies review the prices of LPG. There has been no change in the rate of domestic LPG cylinder. In Delhi, a 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder will still be available for Rs 803. Its rate will remain Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.

In Mumbai, the price of the cylinder has become Rs 1913.

In Kolkata, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available for Rs 1913. In February, it was priced at Rs 1907. In Mumbai, its price has now become Rs 1755.50, whereas in February it was Rs 1749.50 and in January it was Rs 1756.

The reduction was made in February

Earlier, on February 1, 2025, oil marketing companies had reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 7. However, there was no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) reduced the prices of commercial cylinders for the second consecutive month in February.

TRAI has asked telecom companies like Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL to shift telemarketing calls and commercial messaging starting from 140 mobile number series to blockchain base DLT i.e. Distributed Laser Technology platform by September 30. It is expected that fake calls will be stopped from September 1.

Fourth change: Credit card rules

From September 1, HDFC Bank is going to set a limit on reward points on utility transactions, under which customers can earn only up to 2,000 points per month on these transactions. HDFC Bank will not give any reward for making educational payments through third party apps.

From September 2024, IDFC First Bank will reduce the minimum amount payable on credit cards. The payment date will also be reduced from 18 to 15 days. Apart from this, a change – from September 1, 2024, customers using RuPay credit cards for payments on UPI and other platforms will get the same reward points as those using credit cards of other payment service providers.

Fifth change: Dearness Allowance

A big announcement is expected for the Central Government employees in September. It is expected that the government can increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent for the employees. Currently, the Dearness Allowance (DA) is being given to the government employees at 50 percent, while after the increase of 3 percent, it will become 53 percent.

Sixth change: Free Aadhaar card update

The last date for updating Aadhaar card for free has been fixed as 14 September. After this, you will not be able to update some things related to Aadhaar for free. In the country’s financial capital Mumbai , the price of commercial gas cylinder has come down to Rs 1785.50 and has become costlier by Rs 101.50. In October its rates were at Rs 1684.

The price of gas cylinder in Chennai has come down to Rs 1999.50 and has increased by Rs 101.50. In October its rates were at Rs 1898.

Commercial LPG rates had increased last month also

Last month also, oil companies had given a big shock to the people by increasing the price of commercial gas cylinder by Rs 209. After this, the price of commercial cylinder in Delhi came down to Rs 1731.50. For the second consecutive month, oil companies have increased the price of commercial LPG.

There was no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders

Cut in commercial cylinder

Relief to the people of Ujjwala Yojana

Customers coming under the purview of Ujjwala Yojana will also get the benefit of Rs 200 reduction in the price of domestic LPG cylinder. Explain that such beneficiaries are already getting a subsidy of Rs 200. Thus, after the new deduction, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala will get a total benefit of Rs 400.

In such a situation, the beneficiaries will now get LPG cylinder for Rs.703. Along with this, it has also been decided to give 75 lakh new LPG connections free of cost. With this, the number of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will increase to 10.35 crore.
