The country’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), has issued an alert for customers. In view of the increasing cases of digital fraud in the country, SBI has given important information to customers.

The bank has said that there is no need to be afraid of calls starting with +91-1600, these calls are completely safe and genuine. SBI told on social media that these numbers are used only for transaction and service related calls. In such a situation, if you receive a call from this series, then you can talk without any worries.

RBI’s new directive

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed all banks and financial institutions in January 2025 to call customers only from the 1600xx series, so that people can differentiate between real and fake calls. Along with this, the 140xx series will be used only for marketing and promotion. RBI has said that in today’s time, mobile number has become very important – it is the main medium for getting OTP, alerts and account information. But this number has also become an easy tool for fraudsters.

SBI’s real calling numbers: SBI has also released a list of some of its real calling numbers through which the bank contacts customers.

1600-01-8000

1600-01-8003

1600-01-8006

1600-11-7012

1600-11-7015

1600-01-8001

1600-01-8004

1600-01-8007

1600-11-7013

1600-00-1351

1600-01-8002

1600-01-8005

1600-11-7011

1600-01-7014

1600-10-0021

What customers should do: SBI has advised customers to answer calls received only from the numbers given above. Do not talk to unknown or suspicious numbers. Do not share your banking information with anyone. If you have any doubts, contact the bank immediately. This step is a significant effort by SBI and RBI to protect customers from cyber fraud.

SBI Customers Alert: If you have a bank account in the country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India (SBI), then be careful immediately. The government has warned crores of customers of the bank.

It has been said that be careful about fake messages received in the name of SBI. In such a situation, if you are a little careless, then you can suffer a big loss.

If you or anyone in your family has an account in State Bank of India (SBI), then this news is very useful for you. The government has issued an alert for crores of account holders. The fact check unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB) has alerted about a message circulating on social media. Therefore, if you are a customer of SBI, then you need to be careful. A small mistake can cost you heavily. Keeping in mind the ever-increasing cases of spam and fraud, PIB has now issued an alert for customers.

Actually, cyber criminals are cheating people with new methods. In the recent past, a new method of reward point scam has emerged. Customers have now been asked to be careful about this.

Customers may get duped in the name of reward points

The message issued by PIB says that be careful of the messages received in the name of State Bank of India. In this, customers are asked to download an APK file to redeem reward points. This message seems as if it has been sent by SBI, but this message is completely fake. SBI never sends links or APK files via SMS or WhatsApp. In such a situation, to protect yourself from fraud, do not download unknown files or click on suspicious links. Always verify any such message directly through official SBI channels.

Beware ‼️

Did you also receive a message asking you to download & install an APK file to redeem SBI rewards❓#PIBFactCheck

PIB gave instructions to the customers

PIB said that it is very important to verify any kind of message. Do this only by contacting through the official phone number. Your bank’s confidential information should not be shared with anyone. If you are cautious, you can avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud.

Keep these things in mind to avoid fraud

1 – If you receive any message, first find out who sent it. Be sure to verify it through the official channel of the bank.

2 – When you receive a message from an unknown number, never click on the link given in it. Do not download any file given in it.

3 – If you receive any suspicious message in the name of the bank, then verify it by contacting the bank through official channels.

4 – Make payments and other transactions only through the official app or website.

5. Never give your personal or financial information through email, SMS, WhatsApp or phone.

31 December Deadline: Have a locker in State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda (BOB)? If you also have your locker in these two banks, then you should also complete the necessary work by 31 December 2023.

All banks have been asked by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to get their customers to sign the new agreement for bank lockers. If you too have not done this work, then complete it as soon as possible.

31 December Deadline

If you do not do this, there may be problems in the future. Most banks have prepared a revised bank locker agreement covering customer rights, which all customers are required to sign. Banks are informing customers through bank calls, SMS and e-mails that they should come to the bank branch and sign the agreement. Stamp papers have also been kept by the banks for the customers, so that the customers do not have to go anywhere else.

Customers will just have to come to the bank branch. Customers having a locker have to visit the bank branch and provide their Aadhaar, PAN and photograph. After this the stamp paper and bank locker agreement have to be signed.

Deadline for adding nominee in mutual fund account

If you do not declare the nominee in your mutual fund account by December 31, 2023, your mutual fund account will be frozen. This means that if you miss this deadline, you will neither be able to withdraw nor deposit money. Along with mutual funds, it is mandatory for demat account holders also to make nominee by 31st December.

Deadline to file updated ITR

The deadline for filing income tax returns for the financial year 2022-23 i.e. assessment year 2023-24 was July 31, 2023. Those who could not file ITR by this date can still file updated ITR with late fees till December 31, 2023.

Your UPI ID may be closed

If you also have a UPI ID which you have not used for more than a year, then it will be closed after December 31. In such a situation, if you have not used any of your UPI ID in the last one year, then use it as soon as possible. This will not deactivate your UPI ID.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has instructed all banks to get their customers to sign the new agreement for bank lockers. If you also have a bank locker in any branch of SBI or Bank of Baroda, then go there and sign your new bank locker agreement. Otherwise, you may face problems later.

Banks are making phone calls to customers

Most all banks have issued a revised bank locker agreement covering the customer’s rights. Bank locker customers are required to sign on it. Banks are also asking their customers to visit the bank through phone calls, SMS and emails. Not only this, banks are also keeping stamp papers for the customers. So that, customers just have to come to the bank and sign. Customers have to go to the bank and give their Aadhaar, PAN and photo. Also, stamp paper and bank locker agreement will have to be signed.

All banks should complete the signing of bank locker agreement by 31st December.

RBI has ordered all banks to sign the new agreement with bank locker holders by 31 December 2023. All banks have been directed to provide necessary information to their customers as well as update the status of their locker agreements on the efficient portal of RBI. Most people keep their gold and important documents in bank lockers. In such a situation, it is necessary to sign an agreement for the safety of the items kept in the locker.

SBI News: SBI, which is counted among the big banks of the country, has crores of customers. SBI is the largest bank among public banks.

Different types of facilities are provided to customers through SBI. At the same time, SBI also provides a lot of facilities to the people through its Yono app. However, now a big update has come out regarding Yono app. This can also have an impact on people.

Actually, State Bank of India (SBI) wants to establish its presence in Singapore and America soon. For this, banking mobile app ‘YONO Global’ will be launched by SBI, which will provide digital remittance and other services to its customers. Through Yono Global, SBI will expand its business in Singapore and America. YONO Global services are already being provided by SBI in many countries.

“We continue to invest in YONO Global to provide the best services available,” Deputy MD (IT) Vidya Krishnan said on the sidelines of the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF). We want to provide a better experience to our customers.” The three-day Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) will conclude on November 17. Krishnan also interacted with Singapore-based digital platform supporters as well as the local regulator and central bank, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Services in multiple countries

“Given the large number of Indian expatriates in Singapore, we are continuously working on remittances between India and Singapore,” he said. SBI currently offers ‘YONO Global’ services in nine countries. It was started from Britain in September 2019. The ‘balance sheet’ of SBI’s foreign operations is about US $ 78 billion. In Singapore, SBI will launch its ‘YONO Global’ app in conjunction with ‘Pay-Now’.

The post SBI customers should be alert!

SBI Alert: The country’s largest bank SBI has issued an important alert for its 50 crore account holders. The bank said that many customers are getting fake messages about account closure.

No such message has been sent by SBI. All customers should be cautious of these fake messages and do not respond to them. Such messages are being sent by fraudsters. You may be cheated if you answer.

Messages of account closure are coming

It is written in these messages that dear SBI account holder, your account will be blocked today. Please click on the link sent to update your PAN Card number. The bank has alerted customers not to respond to any email or message sent to share banking details. If you receive such a message, immediately report it to ‘report.phishing@sbi.co.in’ .

According to SBI guidelines, do not give account number, password, PIN or CVV number to anyone. Immediately complain against anyone asking for such information while updating the information, activating the account, calling or on the website. The bank said that you can also call the cyber crime helpline number 1930. You can also complain on their website https://cybercrime.gov.in/ .

This is how you can get full money in case of fraud

Most people do nothing when banking fraud occurs. In such cases the police also show reluctance. But, by taking immediate action you can get the entire money back. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), you can avoid losses by giving timely information about cyber fraud to your bank. Banks take insurance policy for cyber fraud. The bank informs the insurance company about the fraud that happened to you. After the paperwork, the bank will take money from the insurance company and compensate for your loss.

If information is not given within 3 days, there will be loss

The most important thing is that you have to inform the bank about the fraud within 3 days. If you delay in this, it may be difficult to compensate for the loss. According to RBI, if information is given within the stipulated time, the amount will be returned within 10 days. If the fraud is reported after 4 to 7 days, the customer will have to bear a loss of up to Rs 25 thousand.

The post SBI customers!

SBI Change ATM Withdraw Process: State Bank of India has now changed the method of withdrawing cash from ATM. Now SBI has started OTP service to withdraw cash from ATM.

The bank has made this big change to protect its customers from fraud. Soon this rule will be seen applicable on SBI ATMs. This rule will act as an additional safeguard against unauthorized transactions.

According to the bank, while completing the transaction, the bank customers will have to share the OTP while withdrawing cash from the ATM, so that it is ensured that the ATM user is the right user. OTP is a system-generated four-digit number that the bank will send to the customer’s registered mobile number. This OTP will authenticate the cash withdrawal and will be valid for only one transaction.

OTP cash withdrawal started from January 1, 2020

The country’s largest lending bank SBI had started OTP-based cash withdrawal services from January 1, 2020. SBI has been creating awareness about ATM frauds through social media and other platforms from time to time. It is appealing to all its customers to avail the service.

OTP will be required in transactions of 10 thousand or above

Now this service will come in handy for SBI customers at the time of withdrawing cash from ATMs. SBI made these rules in view of the increasing fraud, cyber crime. Let us tell you that customers withdrawing Rs 10,000 or more in a single transaction from SBI ATMs will require OTP to complete the transaction.

Withdraw cash using OTP

You must have your Debit Card and Mobile Phone while withdrawing cash from SBI ATM OTP will come Enter the OTP received on your phone on the ATM screen After entering the valid OTP, the transaction will be completed

SBI Share Price: If your account is in State Bank of India (SBI), then this news will make you happy. Pensioners and senior citizens will soon be given a new facility by SBI. Elderly people of your house will also be able to take advantage of this facility.

Under the new planning of the bank, the customer can be identified through the irises of the banking executive or at the Customer Care Center. The idea is going on to provide the identification facility ‘IRIS Scanner’ from SBI.

No need to visit home branch

With the facility of ‘IRIS Scanner’ near the bank executive, customers belonging to the senior citizen category will not need to visit the home branch. After this facility, they will be able to withdraw pension from their nearest ‘Bank Mitra’ center only. In a statement from SBI, it was said that it is trialling the option of installing ‘Iris scanner’ with its ‘Bank Mitra’ operators. This will reduce the challenges of senior citizen account holders and pensioners.

Trouble if fingerprints are not confirmed

With the help of ‘IRIS Scanner’, the identity of any person can be confirmed through the pupils of the eyes. Nowadays, a similar facility is used in all the offices to record the attendance of the employees. Recently, an elderly woman in Odisha’s Navrangpur district went to a bank friend to withdraw her pension. Here he had a lot of trouble because his fingers were not confirmed. It was also said on behalf of the bank that to avoid such a situation, possibilities of installing iris scanner are being explored.

Recently, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given great relief to the common man. RBI has not made any change in the repo rate this time. Now its effect is visible.

The country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) has given relief to crores of its customers. The bank has kept the Marginal Cost Based Lending Rate (MCLR) used in determining the interest rate of the loan as before.

Most consumer loans are based on a one-year marginal cost based lending rate. In such a situation, personal loan, auto and home loan rates can remain unchanged due to no change in MCLR. Now you will not have to pay more EMI than before on taking the loan.

Latest interest rates of State Bank of India

The bank has kept MCLR at 7.95 per cent for loans with a tenure of one day while the interest rate for loans with a tenure of 1 month and 3 months will be 8.10 per cent. If you go to take a loan of 6 months from SBI now, then you will have to pay interest according to the MCLR of 8.40 percent. At the same time, the interest rates for loans of one year, 2 years and 3 years have been retained at 8.50 per cent, 8.60 per cent and 8.70 per cent respectively. According to SBI’s website, these rates are effective from April 15, 2023.

What is MCLR?

Significantly, MCLR is a method developed by the Reserve Bank of India, on the basis of which banks determine the interest rate for loans. MCLR is the minimum interest rate below which the bank cannot give any loan.

The pace of increase in the repo rate stopped after 6 consecutive shocks.

Let us tell you that in the first RBI MPC meeting of the new financial year, it has been announced to keep the repo rate stable. The repo rate has been retained at 6.50 per cent. Earlier, RBI had increased the repo rate by 2.50 percent from May 2022 to February 2023.

The country’s largest public sector bank i.e. State Bank of India (SBI) has given a big blow to its crores of customers. Bank SBI has increased its Marginal Cost Based Lending Rate ie MCLR by 10 basis points for all tenures.

Now taking a loan from the bank will become expensive. The new rates of the bank have come into effect from February 15, 2023. Explain that after increasing the repo rate, many banks have increased MCLR.

Most consumer loans are based on a one-year marginal cost based lending rate. In such a situation, personal loan, auto and home loan can become expensive due to increase in MCLR. Now you will have to pay more EMI than before on taking the loan. This will have a direct impact on the pockets of the customers.

New MCLR rates

SBI has increased the overnight MCLR rate to 7.95 percent, MCLR rate for 1 month to 8.10 percent and MCLR rate for 3 months to 8.10 percent. At the same time, the bank’s MCLR rate increased by 10 basis points to 8.40 percent for 6 months, MCLR from 8.40 percent to 8.50 percent for 1 year, MCLR from 8.50 percent to 8.60 percent for 2 years and MCLR from 8.60 percent to 8.70 percent for 3 years. Is.

What is MCLR?

Significantly, MCLR is a method developed by the Reserve Bank of India, on the basis of which banks determine the interest rate for loans. Before that, all the banks used to fix the interest rate for the customers on the basis of base rate only.

Increase in repo rate for the sixth time in a row

New Delhi: Scammers now use a variety of techniques to dupe consumers and steal money from their accounts. This problem gets even worse as more people still withdraw cash from ATMs today. To prevent fraud, SBI has now changed the rules for cash withdrawal from ATMs. Banks have issued a new rule to make ATM transactions more secure. Let’s take a look at the rule.

According to the new rule, customers cannot withdraw cash from ATMs without OTP. At the time of cash withdrawal, customers will get an OTP on the registered mobile number. Cash can be withdrawn only after entering the OTP.

SBI said, “Our OTP-based cash withdrawal system for transactions at SBI ATMs is a vaccination against fraudsters. Protecting you from fraud will always be our top priority. SBI customers should know how the OTP based cash withdrawal system will work.

According to the bank, the new rule is applicable only on withdrawals of Rs 10,000 and above. While making withdrawals, customers need to enter OTP along with Debit Card PIN.

understand step by step

OTP will be a four digit number that the customer will get for a single transaction.

Once you have entered the amount you wish to withdraw, you will be asked to enter the OTP on the ATM screen.

You will have to enter the OTP received on the mobile number registered with the bank.

The post Alert for SBI customers!

SBI FASTag users can now check their SBI FASTag balance by sending an SMS from their registered number to 7208820019. The bank has also told you how to send the message.

State Bank of India has introduced a new service. The bank is now starting SMS service to check the balance of FASTag, through which users will now be able to know the balance of FASTag in seconds. The bank gave information about this in a tweet on Saturday, 9 September. It has been told that customers using SBI’s FASTag can now know their SBI FASTag balance by sending an SMS to 7208820019 from their registered number. The bank has also told you how to send the message.

Dear SBI FASTag Customer, send an SMS to 7208820019 from your registered mobile number to quickly know your SBI FASTag balance. #SBIFastag #SBI #AmritMahotsav pic.twitter.com/mDQQgDl7Mv

— State Bank of India (@TheOfficialSBI) September 10, 2022

If you want to know the balance of FASTag installed on a vehicle, then you have to send SMS by writing FTBAL to the number 7208820019. At the same time, if you have many vehicles, and want to check the balance of all FASTag, then you have to write – FTBAL <Vehicle Number> and send it to 7208820019.

You have to send the message from your mobile number registered with SBI FASTag. Within a few seconds of this, you will know your FASTag balance.

FASTag is a sticker on vehicles that works with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. It has expanded rapidly in the last few years in India for collecting toll tax. You put it on the windscreen of the vehicle and then you do not need to pay cash the next time you pass through the toll plaza. The machine that scans FASTag scans your tag and whatever account is linked to that tag, money is deducted directly from it.

Under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR), 1989 of the Ministry of Road Transport, it has been made mandatory to install FASTag on vehicles from January 1, 2022. This rule is applicable to M and N class four wheelers or larger vehicles, which either carry passengers or carry goods.

The post Good News for SBI Customers!
