The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially pushed back the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh for the third time. Initially set for today, December 31, the publication of the “Draft Voter List” has been extended by a week.
This delay comes amid reports of extreme pressure on Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and the massive task of verifying nearly 15.44 crore voters in the state.
