Telecom company Vodafone Idea (Vi) has started its 5G service in Bengaluru from Wednesday. This is part of the company’s strategy under which it is preparing to launch 5G service in all 17 major circles of the country by August 2025. Earlier, Vodafone Idea has also started 5G service in cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Patna and Chandigarh.
Bangalore users will now be able to take advantage of 5G
According to the company, customers in Bengaluru who have 5G-enabled devices can now avail Vi’s 5G service. This service is especially for those who like to watch videos, play games, make video calls and download fast on high-speed internet.
Unlimited data plans will start from Rs 299
Vi said that initially, unlimited 5G data is being provided to 5G users on plans starting at Rs 299. That is, customers who have 5G phones can use data without any limit with this plan.
Partnership with Samsung for better network
Vodafone Idea has partnered with Samsung to improve the 5G experience in Bengaluru. The company is installing advanced and energy-saving network infrastructure. Apart from this, Vi has also used AI-based ‘Self-Organising Networks’ (SON) which automatically optimize the network. This will give customers a fast internet experience without interruption.
