Money Transfer by Mistake: Many times it happens that a mistake is made in transferring money. Instead of the one you have to pay, it goes to someone else. Recovery is possible in such cases…

During the last few years, the prevalence of digital banking has increased significantly in the country. Easy availability of smartphones and internet has given a boost to digital banking. UPI has taken it to far-flung villages. This has made many banking operations especially money transactions possible in a jiffy. However, some dangers have also increased with this. There was a mistake of one digit that the money goes to someone else. Due to this many people have to suffer loss.

This precaution will reduce the mistake

If money goes somewhere else by mistake, it can be recovered if action is taken in time. Today we are going to tell you this. Before that, let us talk about some precautions, so that such mistake does not happen. Please double check the details before sending money anywhere. If you are sending through UPI, then after scanning the QR code or entering other details, the name of the account holder appears, confirm it. By doing this, the chances of making a mistake will be reduced and you will get rid of the later problems.

    Must check email and message

After transferring money in any way, the message and email of money deduction comes. After transferring the money, do check the message and email. With this, you can immediately know whether the money has gone to the wrong account. If you have mistakenly sent money elsewhere, inform your bank without delay.

For this, the customer care of the bank can be called. The bank can ask you all the information regarding this on email. In the email, inform the bank about the details like transaction number, amount, account from which money was deducted, money transferred to which account by mistake, date and time of transaction.

    RBI has done this measure

For such a situation, RBI has taken a big work measure. Whenever you do a transaction, in the message or email you get to inform you about it, banks ask whether you have done this transaction by mistake. The Reserve Bank has made it mandatory to ask this. Along with this, it is also necessary to provide a number or email in that message.

If the money is transferred by mistake or goes to the wrong account, then immediately complain on that number or email. This is the easiest way to get back the money deducted by mistake.
