What is Google’s new position ?

Google is doing this because inactive accounts are more vulnerable to hacking. The data in these inactive accounts reduces space on Google’s servers. Google wants users’ data to be safe. Many people have a question that if Google deletes the account, can they get their account back? Probably not, so be careful. Whenever your account is inactive for a long time, you will get an email from Google. Do not ignore it even by mistake. At the same time, you can also take a backup of your data using Google Takeout.

The account will be deleted on September 20

This year, many users received an email from Google informing them that the Google account they have not used for 8 months will be deleted on September 20, including Gmail, Photos and Documents. If you have also received such an email, do not panic, you can save your account by following some steps. However, many people already know about this inactive policy of Google.

How to secure your Gmail account

Login regularly: Log into your account at least once every 2 years.

Search Google: Go to Google Chrome and search for anything.

Send email: Keep your inbox active.

Use Google Drive: Create or edit a document.

Upload a photo to Google Photos: Upload a new photo from your gallery.

Watch a video on YouTube: Watch a video from your inactive account.
