On this announcement by the Ujjain District Collector, Congress leader Arif Masood said, “The Mahakal ride has been going on for years and people of every religion and every community welcome it. The Collector wants to please the Chief Minister by issuing such an absurd order. The country will run through the Constitution. Tomorrow, people of other religions will also raise their voices, then what will you do? Those who talk about one country, one constitution, should think.”

Its people are busy flattering foreign countries. I don’t know whether this Congress is of China or Pakistan… The Collector has the right to declare a public holiday as per the public need.”
When does Sawan start?
Lord Shiva loves the month of Sawan very much. It is believed that from Sawan to Kartik month, Lord Shiva himself controls the universe. This time the month of Sawan is starting from July 11 and will continue till August 9. This time there are 4 Mondays in this month. The first Monday is falling on July 14. Let us tell you that in this month, fast is observed on Mondays and things like Gangajal, milk, dhatura etc. are offered on Shivling.
