Toll tax will start being levied on the link expressway from 12 midnight on Thursday. Preparations for this have been completed at the toll plaza.
On June 20, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the link expressway by reaching Bhagwanpur Tola Plaza. Since then vehicles are running on this route. Till now the entire journey was free. Bike, auto and tractor drivers will also have to pay toll tax on the link expressway. Cash will be taken from them.

Rs 7283.28 crore has been spent on the construction of 91.35 km long Gorakhpur Link Expressway. 16 underpasses, 50 small underpasses and 35 regular underpasses have been built on this expressway for the convenience of passengers. After the completion of its construction, the journey of the citizens of Gorakhpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar and Azamgarh has become easier.
