Kal Ka Mausam: The Meteorological Department has informed that a low pressure area is formed in the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal and near it, as well as on the coast of South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh.

Due to this, there may be rain in many states. Let us know what the weather will be like in your state. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in many states for the next 4 to 5 days. Heavy to very heavy rains may occur in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Chhattisgarh and interior Rayalaseema. Heavy rains are expected in different parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh between August 16 and 20.

Continuous rains may also continue in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from August 17 to 19. Heavy rains are expected in Bihar on August 17 and 18, while heavy rains may occur in Odisha from August 16 to 18. Heavy rains are expected in Vidarbha on August 17 and in Chhattisgarh between August 18 and 20. Light to moderate rains with thunderstorms and showers will be seen at many places for the next one week.

Heavy rains likely in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Kerala and Mahe from August 16 to 18. Heavy rains may also occur in many parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and interior Karnataka from August 16 to 19. Heavy rains have been predicted in different areas of coastal Karnataka from August 16 to 20. Heavy rains may occur in Telangana till August 16 and in coastal Karnataka from August 17 to 19. At the same time, very heavy rains are expected in South Interior Karnataka on August 19. Apart from this, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are likely at most places in Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana for the next 5 days.

Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, there is a possibility of heavy rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in Jammu and Kashmir on 17 and 18 August. Heavy rains are also expected in different areas of Uttarakhand from 16 to 20 August. Heavy rains may occur in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh on 16 August. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in West Rajasthan on 16 and 17 August and in East Rajasthan on 16 to 18 August and 20 August. Apart from this, there will be chances of thunderstorms and lightning along with light to moderate rains at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan for the next 7 days.

Heavy rain likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya

According to the department, heavy rains may occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on August 16, 17 and 20. Heavy rains are also expected in different areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim and Tripura from August 16 to 18. Very heavy rains may occur in Assam and Meghalaya especially on August 16. There will be chances of thunderstorms and lightning along with light to moderate rains in many parts of the northeastern states for the next 3 days.

Apart from Maharashtra and Gujarat, there will be heavy rain here

The Meteorological Department has said that there may be very heavy rain in Konkan and Goa on August 17, and in many parts of Madhya Maharashtra on August 17 and 18. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Konkan-Goa on August 15 and 20, Marathwada on August 15 and 18, Gujarat region from August 15 to 17 and Saurashtra-Kutch on August 17. Apart from this, there may be very heavy rain in Konkan-Goa on August 16, 18 and 19, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra from August 15 to 20 and many parts of Gujarat from August 18 to 20.
