CBSE Board Exams 2026: When can you finally get your Admit Card?
If you’re a Class 10 or 12 student, you’ve probably already marked February 17 on your calendar—the day the 2026 board exams officially kick off. But the big question right now isn’t just about the syllabus; it’s about that piece of paper that actually gets you into the exam hall: the Admit Card.

The Timeline: When to expect it
While the CBSE hasn’t hit the “release” button for everyone just yet, history gives us a pretty good clue. Usually, hall tickets land about 10 days before the first paper.
-
Private Candidates: You’re in luck—your portal actually opened back on January 19. You can grab yours right now.
-
Regular Students: Expect your schools to start handing these out between February 3 and February 10.

The “Private vs. Regular” Catch
One common mistake students make is trying to download the card themselves. If you go to a regular CBSE-affiliated school, you cannot download your own admit card. Your school has a special Pariksha Sangam login to do that for you. Once they print them, the Principal has to sign and stamp each one. Without that stamp, the card is basically just a scrap of paper.

Check these 3 things the second you get it:
-
The ID Code: Look for the “Admit Card ID.” You’ll need this specific code later when you’re refreshing the results page in May.

-
The Subjects: A single digit error in a subject code can cause a massive headache on exam day. Make sure your stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) matches exactly.
-
The Center: Don’t just look at the name; look at the address. If it’s a school you’ve never heard of, plan a “dry run” visit this weekend so you don’t get lost on the 17th.
