Getting food and goods delivered to our homes is becoming more and more of a competitive issue for companies. American company Amazon, which is already into e-commerce services, has now entered the fast delivery service space in the country.
Its service has started in the national capital Delhi. After this, you can get your goods delivered within 10 minutes on Amazon Now, like other top fast commerce platforms in the country – Zepto, Instamart, Swiggy and Blinkit. Earlier, a successful pilot project was run in Bengaluru last month.
Competition will intensify in fast service
Till now, after buying any item from Amazon, it used to take one to two days to reach home. In such a situation, with the entry of Amazon Now in the fast service, the competition will intensify in the coming days. In June, e-commerce company Amazon launched its fast delivery service in Bengaluru. Now it has started it first from West Delhi, which will be launched in the entire city.
Service will start soon in entire Delhi
In an interview to the Economic Times, Amazon India Vice President (Operations) Abhinav Singh said that the service has been launched in a large part of Delhi and the network is expanding very quickly. Soon it will be launched in the rest of the national capital Delhi as well.
It is worth noting that last month Amazon announced an investment of $2000 crore to strengthen its delivery service in India. After this, Amazon is pushing to open a large number of dark stores across the country. These are warehouses that are built inside the city, so that the delivery of orders can be done easily and quickly.
