Banks will remain closed in Tripura state on Tuesday 19th August. In all other states, banks will remain open and work will be done like regular days. Banks in Tripura will remain closed due to the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur. He was born on 19th August 1908. He contributed significantly to the development of education, administration and infrastructure in Tripura. His birthday is still celebrated with respect and reverence.

Online banking service will be available

During bank holidays, you will be able to transact through net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM. But services like check clearing and draft making will remain closed. If you have to settle any important bank work, then plan before or after these dates. Digital transactions will be possible during the holidays, but the service available in the branch will not be available.

BSE and NSE will also remain closed on 15th August 2025 on the occasion of Independence Day.
