Delhi Airport issued advisory for passengers, many flights are running late and some have been diverted

Heavy dust storm, hail and heavy rain in Delhi-NCR area on Wednesday evening has affected flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport. About 50 flights have been delayed.

At the same time, about 10 flights have been diverted to nearby airports and some flights have been cancelled. According to the schedule board of Delhi Airport, flights coming from Kathmandu, Phuket, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Singapore, Toronto and Bangkok have been delayed. At the same time, a flight coming from Tel Aviv has been cancelled.

Airport issued advisory

Delhi Airport had earlier issued an advisory for passengers on X. It said that heavy rains may affect flight operations. The advisory urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for updated flight information. While Air India and SpiceJet said that their flights may be affected, IndiGo said that their flights were being affected due to heavy rains and thunderstorms in Delhi, Chandigarh and Kolkata.
