This will not only relieve people from long queues and weeks of waiting, but will also put an end to the network of corruption and middlemen.
Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given the green signal for this new digital facility. Now no one will fall into the trap of middlemen. Let us tell you that earlier, even after passing the test for the license, the license had to be printed and brought from Chandigarh, which took 10 to 20 days. During this time, people were forced to take the help of middlemen.
Now the applicants will apply online. As soon as the driving test is passed, the data will be updated in the local server immediately. Along with this, the license will be printed there and handed over in the hands. This facility will be started first from big districts like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Patiala. After this, this facility will be implemented in all the RTOs (Regional Transport Offices) of Punjab in a phased manner.
