Now even the PF account holder does not need to go anywhere to know how much money is in his PF account. He can do this work very easily sitting at home. EPFO is providing the facility to the subscriber to know the PF balance in 4 ways. The PF account holder can get the balance information by making a missed call from the registered mobile number or through SMS. Apart from this, with the help of online UMANG app and by logging on to the website of EPFO, one can know how much money is in his PF account.
To know the PF balance by missed call, the mobile number of the account holder should be registered with the EPFO with the missed call. To get balance information through missed call, PF subscriber has to make a missed call on 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number. After some time, the account information will come on your mobile through SMS.
Get information by SMS To know PF balance through SMS, SMS to 7738299899 from the mobile number registered with EPFO. For this, EPFO UAN LAN (language) has to be typed. Here LAN means language. If you need information in English, write ENG instead of LAN. For information in Hindi, write HIN instead of LAN. To get account information in Hindi, write EPFOHO UAN HIN and send it to number 7738299899. After sometime the PF balance message will come on your mobile.
Take the help of the website To see the PF balance online, you have to visit the EPF passbook portal. You will have to log on to this portal through UAN and password. After this click on Download / View Passbook. After doing this, the passbook will open in front of you in which you can see the balance.
You can also know the balance from
UMANG app, download UMANG app in your smartphone. Click on EPFO in the app. In this, click on Employee Centric Services. After this, click on View Passbook and enter your UAN and password. OTP will come on the registered mobile number. After entering it at the designated place, you can check PF balance.
