Roadways Bus Tickets Free: Now the descendants of freedom fighters will be able to travel without ticket in Uttarakhand’s roadways and smart city buses .
Dehradun District Officer Savin Bansal started this historic initiative by taking an ‘on the spot’ decision in a meeting held on Friday. This was not only an administrative decision, but also an attempt to honor those families who contributed to the country’s independence.

Free travel started with immediate effect
In the meeting, the family members of freedom fighters had demanded free travel, on which DM Bansal immediately issued an order and assured correspondence with the Roadways General Manager and ensured its implementation at the same time. In the buses of Smart City, the flex regarding the facility of free travel was also immediately pasted.
Assurance received on demand for housing
The demand for housing facility in the municipal corporation area was also raised in the meeting. DM Bansal immediately spoke to the mayor over the phone and requested for allotment of a 100 square yard plot and also sent a letter for this.
This quick and sensitive working style has given a new height to administrative trust in Dehradun. The families of the freedom fighters expressed their happiness over this decision and thanked the District Officer.
