Pensioners: Pension is very important for crores of retired employees in the country. Most of the elderly and retired employees are the beneficiaries of this pension and in a way it is a support for them in old age.
But it is important for the pensioner to pay attention to the rules related to pension. Many rules have been made regarding pension in the country, about which we are telling here. There is also a rule due to which the pension of the pensioner can be stopped if this special work is not done.
Actually, the pension rules say that if a pensioner does not withdraw his pension for several months continuously, then in such a situation he can be considered dead in the government records. If the pensioner does not withdraw his pension for six months or more continuously, he will be out of the list of pensioners. Also, he will be considered dead in the government records. Many times on this basis the concerned person is declared dead and the pension is stopped.
Why these rules
The government has implemented this rule for pensioners so that fraud can be prevented and it helps in keeping the records correct. Under the rule, it is mandatory for the pensioner to fill his life certificate on time.
How to avoid pension stoppage
To avoid this problem, it is important that the pensioner keeps withdrawing pension from time to time and keeps updating the life certificate. So that there is no problem. If a pensioner does not withdraw his pension for several months due to any reason and the government stops his pension considering him dead, then some necessary process has to be completed to get it started again, in which the pensioner has to go to his bank (where the pension account is) or pension office and give proof of his being alive. For this, life certificate has to be submitted.
It can also be sent online through Aadhaar based biometric system. Along with this, a written application has to be submitted, which clearly states why the pension was not withdrawn and now a request is being made to restart it.
