The Bihar government has decided to form the Bihar Youth Commission. The cabinet has approved the formation of the Bihar Youth Commission on Tuesday. The Bihar Youth Commission will have one chairman, two vice-chairmen and seven members. Their maximum age limit will be 45 years.
Before the Bihar assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken a big decision. Now the state government will give 35 percent reservation in government jobs only to women of Bihar. That is, provision of domicile has been made in women reservation. In direct recruitment of any government job, 35% seats will be reserved for women candidates of Bihar. Let us tell you that in the meeting of Bihar Cabinet held on Tuesday, a total of 43 proposals including the formation of Youth Commission were approved.
In this meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the proposal to provide 35 percent horizontal reservation to women candidates who are native of the state in direct appointments to all levels and all types of posts in all government services and cadres of Bihar state was also approved.
Giving detailed information to media persons after the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat Dr. S. Siddharth said that a total of 43 proposals including the formation of Youth Commission were approved in this meeting. A big decision was taken in this meeting that now only women of Bihar will get 35 percent reservation in government jobs. The proposal to provide 35 percent horizontal reservation to women candidates who are natives of the state in direct appointments to all levels and all types of posts in all government services, cadres of the state was also approved.

Diesel subsidy scheme was approved in the meeting. Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned for this. Farmers will get subsidy at the rate of Rs 2250 per acre for three irrigations. A farmer will get diesel subsidy for a maximum of eight acres. He told that a decision was also taken regarding the disabled in the meeting. Under the Chief Minister Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme, male disabled candidates of backward class, economically weaker section and general category will be given incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand and Rs one lakh respectively for the preparation of main examination and interview on passing the preliminary examination of BPSC and UPSC. For this, the proposal to start Divyangjan Civil Service Incentive Scheme has also been approved.
In the meeting, approval was given for the implementation of Millets Program to promote Millets crop in Kharif season under Nutri Cereals (Millets) Scheme under Food and Nutrition Security under the Fourth Agriculture Road Map in the financial year 2025-26 and a total withdrawal and expenditure of Rs 46 crore 75 lakh was approved.
