Buses will also be run on different routes based on the number of women passengers. During these two days, buses will be run till late night to safely transport women on Raksha Bandhan.

On Raksha Bandhan, the roadways officials have cancelled the leave of all drivers, conductors and other employees. Employees will be specially put on duty at the bus stand. So that passengers do not face any kind of problem in commuting. These orders will be applicable in the roadways department as well as the permitted buses. If private buses miss their rounds on this day, then action will be taken against them by the transport department.

Bhupendra Hooda had started the scheme

This scheme was started by former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda during the Congress regime in the year 2014. Since then, women have been getting this facility every year on Raksha Bandhan.
