To prevent fraud in Tatkal tickets , Indian Railways is going to make new rules for booking. From the end of this month, e-Aadhaar authentication will be mandatory for all Tatkal ticket bookings, to eliminate scalping, bot abuse and make it easier, faster, fair, less stressful and fraud-free for genuine passengers. Tatkal tickets are issued a day before the date of travel. If you have to travel on May 11, then you have to book Tatkal tickets on May 10.

Big scam in Tatkal ticket booking revealed

Let us tell you that for some time now, IRCTC was receiving a large number of complaints. Passengers complain that they are unable to book Tatkal tickets from the mobile app or website. They say that when they start the booking process when the seat is available, the speed of the server becomes very slow and as soon as the server becomes normal, all the seats are booked. When the Railways investigated it, all the planning of the ticket brokers came to the fore. After which the Railways is going to make e-Aadhaar verification mandatory for Tatkal ticket booking. After the new rules come into force, Tatkal tickets can be booked only from those IRCTC accounts which are Aadhaar-verified. Here we are going to tell you the easiest way to verify IRCTC account with Aadhaar.

How to verify IRCTC account with Aadhaar

    • Visit IRCTC website https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/train-search .
    • Login by entering username, password and captcha.
    • Click on ‘Authenticate User’ in the ‘My Account’ tab visible at the top.
    • Now a new page will open on your screen, where you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on OTP.
    • Now OTP will come on your registered mobile number, after feeding which your IRCTC account will be successfully e-Aadhaar verified.
