ICICI has announced the implementation of new charges on many banking services from July 1, 2025

If you are a customer of ICICI Bank, then definitely read this news. Leading private sector bank ICICI has announced the implementation of new charges on many banking services from July 1, 2025.

These changes will have a direct impact on your everyday banking expenses. From withdrawing money from ATM to debit card and demand draft, now more charges will have to be paid on many services. The bank says that these changes are being made to maintain the increasing operational costs, continuity of competitive services and transparency. Let us know what is going to change for you from July 1:-

Rules changed on ATM transactions

– Now ICICI Bank customers will be able to do only 5 free ATM transactions every month. After this:

– ₹ 23 per transaction on financial transactions

– ₹ 8.50 per transaction on non-financial transactions (like balance check)

At other bank ATMs:

– 3 free transactions in metro cities and 5 free transactions in non-metros. After this, the same charges will apply (earlier the financial transaction charge was ₹ 21).

Changes in cash deposit and withdrawal charges

– 3 cash deposits free every month

– ₹2 charge per ₹1,000 thereafter, – Withdrawals will also be charged after 3 transactions with

a minimum of ₹50 and a maximum of ₹15,000 . Earlier there was a flat charge of ₹50 up to Rs 10,000 and thereafter ₹5 was charged per ₹1,000.

Fees on demand draft and pay order increased

– Now ₹2 charge per ₹1,000

– Minimum ₹50 and maximum ₹15,000

– These charges will also apply to making DD by cheque or transfer from account

New charges on IMPS transactions

– Transferring money through IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) will now attract charges as per the new slab. The bank has implemented slab based charging. (Full details are available on the bank’s website or mobile app)

Increase in fees related to debit card

– Annual fee of debit card has increased from ₹200 to ₹300

– Now ₹300 will have to be paid even if you get a damaged or lost card again

Why have the charges been increased?

ICICI Bank says that changes in these charges are necessary to provide better digital experience to customers, maintain quality of service and deal with rising costs. The bank claims that these changes will also increase transparency.
