MP Weather: Rainfall is going to start in Madhya Pradesh from April 26, which may continue for 3 days. There is a possibility of change in weather due to western disturbance and trough, but despite this, severe heat and heat wave will continue to wreak havoc in many parts of the state.

On Thursday, the maximum heat was seen in Khajuraho and Naugaon of Chhatarpur district, where the temperature crossed the 44 degree Celsius mark. Khajuraho recorded 44.4 degrees and Naugaon recorded 43.7 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature in other parts of the state also crossed 40 degrees.

Rain is expected, but heat will also have an impact

According to senior meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran, for the next four days, some parts of the state will be affected by strong heatwaves, while some parts may witness light rain and thundershowers. However, after this, the heat is likely to persist in the entire state again.

Heat wave alert in these 13 districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. These districts include Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari. Major cities like Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain and Jabalpur are also likely to experience intense heat.

Heat wave in major cities of the state

On Thursday, the mercury reached 43.2 degrees in Ratlam, while it reached 43 degrees in Shivpuri. Similarly, temperatures above 42 degrees were recorded in Satna, Tikamgarh, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Chhindwara and Damoh. In many cities, the temperature remained around 41 degrees.

Weather forecast for the last week of April

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of north-western winds in the last week of April, the minimum temperature across the state will remain between 27 to 30 degrees. People will have to face heat during the day and night. The mercury can reach 43-45 degrees in Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar and Rewa, while the temperature in cities like Indore, Ujjain and Bhopal can remain between 41 to 44 degrees. During this time, there will be the effect of heat wave due to cyclonic circulation system in Bengal region.

Amidst this weather confusion, the effect of heat wave may continue for the next three to four days due to cyclonic circulation in Bengal region. However, after this there may be some relief from rain, which will provide some relief from the heat.
