Heavy Rain Alert: Rain continues in many states of India. The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many areas in the next five days. There may be rain with thunder and lightning in South Peninsular India and adjoining Central India.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that during the next 5 days, rain and strong winds may continue in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim.

According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 5 days, many areas in Northeast India may witness lightning and rain accompanied by strong winds at the speed of 30 to 50 kmph.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu during the next 3 to 4 days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains with thunderstorms in Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Heavy rains may occur at different places in Arunachal Pradesh during May 15 to 18. Apart from this, rain and strong winds may continue in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

During 15 to 18 May, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada may experience thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds ranging from 30 to 50 kmph to 70 kmph.
