IMD Alert! Warning of heavy rain, storm and lightning in 60 districts of this state from 8 to 11 May

The weather has changed once again in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms and rain in the eastern and western parts of the state for the next three to four days.

There is a high possibility of thunderstorms and showers from 8 to 11 May. During this time, strong winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in some areas, which may affect normal life.

Strong winds and lightning are likely

There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and heavy rain in many districts of the state. The Meteorological Department says that there will be no major change in the temperature at present, but in the next few days the maximum and minimum temperatures may increase by 3 to 5 degrees and 2 to 4 degrees Celsius respectively.

Where has the alert been issued?

Storm, rain and lightning warning has been issued in more than 60 districts including Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Meerut, Kanpur, Lucknow, Sitapur, Mathura, Agra. On Thursday, many districts are likely to remain cloudy and have light to moderate rain along with strong winds.

The heat continues

, although there is some relief due to the presence of clouds, but the effect of scorching heat is still there. In cities like Moradabad, Prayagraj, Kanpur, and Varanasi, the temperature is reaching 39 to 41 degrees Celsius during the afternoon. Banda was the hottest city, where the temperature was recorded at 41 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

How long will the effect last?

There are chances of rain in the entire state till May 11, after which the weather is expected to clear from May 12. However, the fluctuations in temperature may continue further.
