There is a possibility of heavy rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm in many states of the country during the next 24 hours, especially in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka.
According to Skymet and IMD, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50-60 km per hour. At the same time, there is a possibility of increase in heatwave days in North and East India between April and June, which can lead to severe heat.
The weather is going to change once again in many states of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted fluctuations in the weather in many states in the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of change in weather in other areas including Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, interior Karnataka and Telangana.
During this period, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning. According to IMD, lightning may occur in some areas along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, hailstorms are also expected in many parts, which may damage crops.
Weather forecast across the country
If we look at the weather activities across the country, cyclonic circulation is present in many areas. According to Skymet Weather report, cyclonic circulation is active up to 1.5 km height in Marathwada and surrounding areas, while a trough line is formed from South Chhattisgarh to Central Maharashtra.
Apart from this, another cyclonic circulation is being seen in the southwest Bay of Bengal up to a height of 3.1 km. A cyclonic circulation is also present over Assam. Along with this, a new Western Disturbance is likely to become active from April 3, which may change the weather pattern in many areas of North India.
There will be rain in these states (Rain Alert)
Weather is expected to be affected in more than 10 states of the country during the next 24 hours. There may be rain in many areas including Kerala, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Marathwada. Also, there is a possibility of strong winds. According to Skymet Weather, strong winds at the speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour can blow along with thunder and lightning in these states.
Hailstorm and heavy rain warning
In particular, hailstorms are likely over southern Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha between April 2 and 4. Similarly, hailstorms are also likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on April 2, Chhattisgarh and Telangana on April 2 and 3. Heavy rains are likely over coastal and southern interior Karnataka during April 3 and 4, while heavy rains are likely over Kerala from April 3 to 6.
Heatwave will also continue to wreak havoc
Amidst this change in weather, there is a threat of heat wave in some states. According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of North and East India, Central India and the plains of North-West India are likely to experience more heat than normal between April and June.
Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and northern parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are likely to experience above normal heat. In particular, Chhattisgarh, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha may experience heatwaves for 10 to 11 days, due to which people may have to face severe heat.
