IMD issued alert, Heavy rain, hail and thunderstorm in 23 states

Once again the weather has taken a turn across the country. While on the one hand the heat wave and the problems of the people are increasing, on the other hand, the warning of heavy rains and hailstorms in 23 states has increased the concern. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for several states.

The Western Disturbance is active again

The effect of Western Disturbance is being repeated in North-West and North-Eastern parts of the country. Heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorm are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal and Uttarakhand on April 25-26.

Strong winds and heavy rain in the northeast

Due to the cyclonic pressure over Bangladesh and Assam and the trough line from Chhattisgarh to the Gulf of Mannar, the states of Northeast India—Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland—will experience rain and gusty winds for 7 days, which can reach a speed of up to 60 km/h.

There will be no relief even in South India

Heavy rains with thundershowers and gusty winds will continue in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. A heavy rain warning has been issued in Tamil Nadu on April 24.

Hail in Bihar-Jharkhand, Thunderstorm in UP-West Bengal

Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh are forecast for thunderstorms, hail and rain between April 26-29. Sikkim will receive very heavy rain on April 26-27.

North India will be swept away by the heatwave

According to the IMD, heat wave conditions remain in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Bihar. The temperature in these areas is likely to reach 45 degrees from April 25 to 30. In Brahmapuri, Maharashtra, the temperature reached 45.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday. At the same time, the temperature was recorded between 40-45 degrees in Gujarat, Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Delhi-NCR will have clear weather on 25th April, but cloudy weather will prevail on 26-27th April with wind speed up to 30 kmph. Also there is a possibility of rain.

The mercury will rise in the coming days

In Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan, the temperature will increase by 2-3 degrees. East India temperature will remain stable but UP may drop after 3 days.
