IMD Issues Red Alert : Monsoon has picked up pace across the country, due to which torrential rains in many states have increased the trouble of the people. The Meteorological Department has now issued a heavy rain warning for July 28 as well.

Heavy rain alert has been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan. People have been asked to avoid going out in the open without work. The temperature is expected to be between 27 to 35 degree Celsius. At the same time, Delhi’s air quality is in the ‘moderate’ category.

On 28th July, heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorm warnings have been issued in Meerut, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Rampur, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mahamayanagar, Kannauj, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Sitapur, Kheri, Jhansi, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Siddharshnagar. The weather will deteriorate once again in Bihar tomorrow.

Heavy rain warning has been issued in Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Ditiya, Bhind, Morena, Tikamgarh, Niwari of Madhya Pradesh. People have been appealed to be cautious. Light to moderate rain alert has been issued in Vidisha, Raisen, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Chhindwara, Seoni.

Heavy rain alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh on Monday 28 July. The districts in which rain alert has been issued include Shimla, Kangra, Hamirpur, Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kinnaur districts. Orange alert has been issued for heavy rain at some places in Champawat, Nainital and Bageshwar, while yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain at some places in Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri and Pithoragarh districts.

Torrential rain alert has been issued in many cities of Gujarat and Maharashtra on 28 and 29 July. People’s problems may increase in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. People should go out of the house only with umbrella. Rain is also expected today in western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, some areas of Bihar, western Rajasthan. Strong winds will blow along with thunder in Bihar, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, West Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Mumbai today. The weather has been pleasant since morning and rain has started in many areas.
