The weather has changed once again across the country, including Delhi. Meteorologist Akhilesh Srivastava of the Meteorological Department said that due to the influence of Western Disturbance, cyclonic winds and pre-monsoon activities, rain, thunder and lightning are likely in many states, while intense heat wave will continue in some areas.

Delhi and surrounding areas will remain partly cloudy on Saturday, which may provide some relief from the heat and humidity. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dusty winds with a speed of 40-50 kmph and light rain. The maximum temperature will be around 40 degrees Celsius. A yellow alert has been issued for Delhi. While an orange alert has been issued for the next 5 days in Rajasthan and a heatwave alert has also been issued, due to which heat can be felt during the day.

– Heavy Rainfall: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over the West Coast.
– Karnataka: Very heavy rainfall is likely on May 20 and 21.
– Konkan and Goa: Very heavy rainfall is likely on May 21.
– Kerala: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely from May 19 to 25.
– North-East India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim: Heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely during the next 4 days.
– Heat wave conditions: Heat wave is likely over West Rajasthan from May 19 to 23 and Haryana and East Rajasthan from May 19 to 21.
