27 May Weather Report, Heavy Rain Alert: This time the monsoon has knocked before time in the country. On 26 May, pre-monsoon rain in Mumbai broke the record of 100 years.

On Monday, 104 mm of rain was recorded in one hour in South Mumbai, while 254 mm of rain fell in 12 hours. Colaba made the highest record of May with 295 mm of rain. Traffic and local train services were affected due to heavy rain. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has released the weather forecast for tomorrow. The weather will remain like this in North India

According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi will be partly cloudy on 27 May. On 28 May, there may be rain along with thunderstorms. On both these days, the maximum temperature can be 40 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 29 degrees. In Uttar Pradesh, an alert of strong thunderstorms and rain has been issued for the next 3 to 4 days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that strong thunderstorms are also expected in western and northern Uttar Pradesh. During this time, rain and strong winds may occur at different places in many areas of western and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The condition of the hill states of the country

Light to moderate rains accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely over Uttarakhand during 27th and 31st May. Scattered to light to moderate rains accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely over Jammu & Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad during 27th and 30th May. Light to moderate rains are likely over many parts of Northeast. Heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh during 27th and 29th May.

According to the Meteorological Department, many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai may witness heavy rains on Tuesday as well. Due to heavy rains on Monday morning, waterlogging occurred at many places. On Tuesday, i.e. 27 May, it will be generally cloudy here. Light to moderate rains may occur in the city and sub-cities of Mumbai.

Heavy rain in Tamil Nadu too

Rains wreaked havoc in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for the second consecutive day. A speeding car hit an auto on Uppili Palayam Road and overturned in a ditch. Locals and Peelamedu fire brigade rescued Manikandan safely and rushed him to the hospital. Singanallur police pulled out the car with the help of a crane and began investigating the accident. Rains in the district led to waterlogging and traffic disruption in many areas.

Alert of heavy rain and strong winds in Northeast India

The Meteorological Department has said that for the next 7 days, many parts of Northeast India may experience thunderstorms and strong winds with speed reaching 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

Light to moderate rain is expected in the area. Heavy rain may also occur at some places. Heavy rain may occur at some places in Arunachal Pradesh between 27 and 29 to 31 May.

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will receive rain between 26 and 31 May. On 28 and 29 May, very heavy rains may occur at some places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
