Indian Railways: A big update has come for crores of passengers traveling by train. Indian Railways is going to implement a new rule for passengers with waiting tickets from May 1.

Now one will not be able to travel in sleeper and AC coaches with waiting tickets. If a passenger has a waiting ticket, he will be able to travel only in general class.

The aim of this move of the Railways is to give priority to the convenience of passengers with confirmed tickets, so that they do not feel any inconvenience in the journey. In particular, many passengers travel in sleeper and AC coaches by taking waiting tickets from the counter. Due to which seats are not available for passengers with confirmed tickets and travel becomes difficult.

Those with confirmed tickets will get benefit

Now under this strict rule which will come into effect from May 1, if a passenger is found in sleeper and AC coach with a waiting ticket, he can be sent to the general coach or a fine can be imposed on him. Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, has said that this rule is for the convenience of passengers with confirmed tickets, so that their journey is comfortable and they do not face any inconvenience.

The aim is to eliminate inconvenience to passengers

Actually, passengers with waiting tickets enter sleeper and AC coaches and try to forcibly sit on the seats of passengers with confirmed tickets, which not only causes inconvenience but also blocks the way to and fro. After implementing this rule, the aim of the railways is to make the journey of passengers smooth and comfortable. If you also travel with a waiting ticket, then now you have to pay attention to the status of your ticket and coach information, so that your journey can be pleasant and hassle-free.
