Vande Bharat Sleeper: The Railway Minister has assured that its fare will be budget-friendly to the common man, making it a great option for long-distance travel, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train will hit the tracks in September 2025
Advanced Features: It will have modern features like real-time passenger information screen, reading lamp with USB charging and modular pantry.
Full focus on safety: The train will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety technology like ‘Kavach’ (anti-collision system), CCTV surveillance and sensor-based doors.
Special arrangements will be available in First AC: It will have First AC, AC 2-tier and AC 3-tier coaches. Hot water bath facility will also be available in First AC.
Promise of affordable travel: The Railway Minister has assured that its fare will be within the budget of the common man, making it a great option for long distance travel.
Possible routes: Initially, it may operate on busy routes like New Delhi-Mumbai, New Delhi-Howrah, New Delhi-Pune and New Delhi-Secunderabad.
