India’s second largest IT company Infosys has told its employees that they will get less bonus for the quarter till March 2025. The reason for this is the ongoing difficulties in the IT sector and the decline in the company’s profits.
Why will you get less bonus?
According to a report, in a recent company meeting, HR and delivery managers told the employees that the company’s profits have decreased, so the bonus will be reduced.
However, the senior management has assured that this situation is temporary and if the business improves, the bonus will be reconsidered.
Earlier this year, Infosys had increased the salary of many employees by 5% to 8%. But according to the latest report, the company’s profit fell by 11.7% to Rs 7,033 crore in the fourth quarter.
The earnings (revenue) estimated by the company for 2025-26 also looks weak. This may affect bonuses and other benefits.
New policy of working from office Infosys has now implemented a new Work from Office (WfO) policy. Under this, employees will have to come to the office at least 10 days every month. If an employee wants to work from home for more days than this, he will have to take permission at two levels. If permission is not granted and the employee still works from home, those days will be deducted from his leave.
This situation of Infosys shows that the IT sector is currently facing challenges.
