A big challenge for the teams will be to convince their overseas stars who have already returned home. According to a report, Cricket Australia will protect the rights of its players so that they can skip the season and avoid any consequences in the future.
Currently, Gujarat Titans are leading the race to qualify for the playoffs with 16 points and a net run-rate of 0.793. Royal Challengers Bangalore also have 16 points, but their NRR is .482, which puts them in second place. Punjab Kings are in third place with 15 points, while Mumbai Indians are in the top four with 14 points.

According to reports, the remaining matches of IPL 2025 will now be played at four venues. The names of Delhi and Dharamsala are not included in this.
