IRCTC: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched its new virtual assistant AskDISHA 2.0 to further improve the facilities of passengers.

This is an advanced AI-based chatbot that will now make tasks like ticket booking, checking refund status and ticket cancellation easier and faster. It not only makes booking easier, but also frees users from the hassle of passwords and long processes. Now ticket booking, refund and cancellation will be done in just one chat or voice command.

Features of AskDISHA 2.0

  • This assistant helps you in every step of booking, so even people with less experience in technology can book tickets easily.
  • Booking tickets through voice will now be easy. This service is available in English, Hindi, Hinglish and Gujarati languages.
  • Now you do not need to remember your IRCTC password, because safe booking can be done by logging in through OTP.
  • Quick refunds – In case of ticket cancellation or failed transaction, the refund process is now faster than before.
  • It will be easy to save all traveler’s information. This will make booking even easier next time.
  • If the transaction fails, you can try it again within 15 minutes.

How to book tickets from AskDISHA 2.0?

  • Open IRCTC website or mobile app and go to Ask DISHA option.
  • Type Hello or Ticket Book, or use voice commands to start a chat.
  • Now you have to provide details like station, date and class (eg. Sleeper, 3AC).
  • The assistant will show you the train list, timings and seat details.
  • Select the train and class of your choice.
  • Complete the booking by verification through OTP.

How to check refund status from AskDISHA 2.0?

  • Open Ask DISHA in IRCTC website or app.
  • Type or speak Refund Status.
  • Select Refund Type
  • Ticket Cancellation
  • Failed Transaction
  • Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR)
  • Enter PNR Number.
  • AskDISHA will show the refund status immediately.

How to cancel a ticket?

  • Open IRCTC website or app and go to Ask DISHA.
  • Type Cancel ticket.
  • Log in by entering your mobile number.
  • A list of booked tickets will appear – select the one you want to cancel.
  • After confirmation, the ticket will be cancelled and information will be received through SMS.
